Ulagalandha Perumal temple– Tiruvikrama swami and Pushpavalli thaayar devasthanam, Tirukkoilur

Tirukkoilur is located in Villupuram disctrict. Its nearly 40 Kms from Villupuram and it is also nearer to Tiruvannamalai which is a distance of about 35 Kms .

Ulagalandha perumal temple, one of the 108 Divya Desams and also known as one of two Nadu Nattu Tirupathis. It is Vamana Trivikrama Avathara sthalam. This temple was built 2000 years ago. The Moolavar of the temple is 21 feet . Moolavar is in standing position facing East direction with his right leg lifted up towards the sky. The special about the Moolavar is The Sangu and Chakrams have changed places and is seen with Sangu on the right hand and the Chakkaram on the left hand. Among the four towers (Gopuram), biggest one is in the eastern side that scales 195 feet and is the third highest gopuram in southern India.

Three Vaishnave saint singers Sri Poigai alwar, Sri Boodhathalwar and Sri Peyazhwar assembled here and get the chance to see the Tiruvikrama avatharam.

Sri Pushpavalli Thaayaar represents Sri Mahalakshmi , ensures her devotees a very good wealth and health.

Sri Durga sanctum is also located inside the temple in front of Moolavar sannadhi. It is very rare that one can see Sri Durga in Vaishnava sthalam but it is seen in this temple. It was said that the goddess is guarding the Lord Tiruvikrama sannadhi.
